Hue Jackson on Josh Gordon: “We Need To Close That Chapter Right Now. He’s Not Going To Be With Us”
Tiki Barber Says Dez Bryant Will Never Be An Elite WR (Video)
A few days ago, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant purposely skipped out on team meetings and a scheduled MRI because he was afraid of what the results might reveal. He was eventually fined for his actions by the team, but head coach Jason Garrett basically excused Bryant’s actions, stating it was because Dez is an “emotional person” who “didn’t handle it the right way.”
Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber took to his show ‘Tiki and Tierney show’ on Friday and discussed how Dez will be a good WR in this league, but never an elite one because of the recent actions he displayed.
“That’s unacceptable,” Tiki Barber said on CBS Sports Radio’s Tiki and Tierney. “I understand what Jason Garrett is trying to do. He’s trying to take the pressure of Dez Bryant (so the media doesn’t eviscerate him), but you make it worse by making an excuse.”
“Dez Bryant is going to be a good wide receiver for the next five or six years,” Barber said. “He’s not going to be not elite. He’s not going to be Antonio Brown. He can’t stay healthy. He cannot stay healthy. Period. He’s not going to be Julio Jones numbers-wise. That’s elite status.”
