Dak Prescott Passed up Kanye Tickets to Watch Texans Get Demolished By The Patriots
Dallas Cowboys back-up quarterback Dak Prescott has been putting the league on notice as he has the Cowboys atop the NFC East with a record of 4-1. He is also yet to throw an interception through 5 games.
In the latest Sports Illustrated feature story, Dak Prescott says he turned down free Kanye West tickets at the American Airlines Center so he could rest and watch the Houston Texans take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
“Prescott did the math aloud: Kanye will go on after 9. The show will last a few hours, which means getting home after midnight. The decision was clear. He offered the tickets to his childhood friend, Cobi Griffin, who declined. So Dak kicked back in a recliner, Cobi sprawled on the couch and the two spent the night flipping between a Texans-Patriots game and Clemson–Georgia Tech. “I wanted to go a little bit,” Prescott said of the concert. “But I just think about the perception of it all. And I love my sleep.””
Clemson killed Georgia Tech by a score of 26-7 and the Texans were run out of Foxborough by the Patriots, 27-0. I’m sure the non-excitement from those games put him right to sleep.
