On Monday, retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was initially doing an interview about why boxing numbers are down over the last few years. Then the topic changed when Floyd decided to speak up about the recent police involved shootings of African American men around the country.

“I’m here to say all lives matter,” Mayweather said. “You know, a lot of times, we get stuck, and we are followers. When you hear one person say, ‘black lives matter,’ or ‘blue lives matter,’ all lives matter.”

Social media didn’t react well to that statement, as expected.  But that didn’t stop him from continuing to speak out about people like San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick or Black Lives Matter supporters, questioning why they continue to vote in a country that refuses to treat them equally.

“What I be seeing is so much crazy stuff, you know, when I look at the elections…they want to kneel for the National Anthem…if you feel like you not being treated like an American citizen, why vote for anyone?”
