‘Cage Breach’ Leaves Diver Confined with a Giant, Angry Great White Shark (Video)
Well, you don’t need to be a diving expert to guess that a “cage breach” isn’t an awesome thing for a diver to experience.
When this diving team was in the waters off the western coast of Mexico, a great white shark chased a tuna so vigorously that it found itself…inside the diving cage with a very surprised diver.
It happened because sharks can’t swim backwards and because they close their eyes when they bite, so the disoriented shark found itself somewhere it shouldn’t be. It understandably flipped out when it found itself inside the cage, writhed around, then left in a hurry.
The diver emerged after about 30 seconds unharmed, but no doubt a little shaken up by what transpired.
