To Avoid $100K Fine, Atlanta Falcons Use Madden 17 Highlights to Troll NFL Policy (GIF)

Just a few weeks ago, the NFL cracked down on teams using nfl highlights on social media, as the league is scared about ratings being on the decline.  The NFL told the teams that fines will be issued if they post any game footage on social media during the contest.

“Teams can’t take highlights of what happens on the field and make it their own by using their own video or posting highlights from television directly to social media. Teams also can’t turn highlights into animated GIFs.

Violations of the policy will cost teams up to $25,000 upon the first instance, up to $50,000 the second time and up to $100,000 for each additional violation of the policy.”

The Atlanta Falcons may have found the perfect alternative on Sunday.  As the team played the San Diego Chargers, they used Madden 17 highlights to show off a Julio Jones catch.
