Watching Sunday night’s NFL matchup between the Cardinals and Seahawks was like watching paint dry. And not orange paint, or some sweet metallic purple, but the most generic, inoffensive beige paint you can imagine.

The NFC West rivals played football for 60 minutes and combined for just two measly field goals. Then the game went to overtime tied 3-3 and, after the teams traded two more field goals, it all ended in a tie after both teams missed chip shot field goals.

No, I’m not messing with you. The game ended 6-6 after the Cardinals and the Seahawks missed field goals from inside 30 yards that would have won the game, prompting a bewildered Al Michaels to lament, “This is impossible!”

First, with 3:26 left on the clock, Arizona kicker Chandler Catanzaro hit the upright on a 24-yard attempt:

Then, with just seven seconds left in OT, Seattle kicker Steven Hauschka was like, I’ll see your goal post from 24 yards and raise you a wide left from 29 yards:

Al Michaels wasn’t the only one who couldn’t believe what he was watching.

In case you’re wondering, that was just the eighth tie since 1990, and the first since the Panthers and Bengals played to a 37-37 draw back in October 2014.

Oh, and then there’s this…
