LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Have a Friendly Little World Series Bet Going (Video)
Every time two pro sports teams meet in a championship series, the mayors of the respective jurisdictions make a friendly wager, which typically involves the loser sending the winner a case of some local delicacy, or something like that. Hardly anybody actually cares, of course. But the local media usually covers it, and it makes the crooked politicians look like normal, sports-loving citizens.
In the case of the 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians, we actually have something way better than a friendly wager between mayors. We have a friend wager between hometown sports superstars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.
Wade, who recently left the heat to sign with his hometown Bulls, issued the challenge to LeBron via social media. If the Cubs win, LeBron has to show up to a game at the United Center wearing a full Cubs uniform. If the Indians win, Wade has to show up to a game at Quicken Loans Arena in a full Indians uniform.

Of course, Dwyane Wade grew up on the South Side of Chicago, which makes him a White Sox fan by law.
Luckily the Cubs bandwagon is big enough for everybody and equipped with plenty of legroom.
