According to Toxicology Reports: Jose Fernandez was Drunk & Had Cocaine in His System
Not the type of news anybody wanted to hear.
Just a few days ago, it was announced that late Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez and his friends had a ‘strong odor of alcohol’ on their bodies when they were pulled from the boat wreck that claimed their lives.
On Saturday, it got that much worse when the toxicology report was released, confirming Fernandez was drunk and had cocaine in his system.

What’s still not clear is who was driving the boat at the time of the incident, although the boat does belong to Fernandez and neither of the other two occupants knew how to pilot a boat.
Fernandez was last seen at American Social Bar & Kitchen before the crash, needing to blow off some steam as witnesses state before the tragic incident.
