Donald Trump Blames Colin Kaepernick For NFL’s Declining Ratings (Video)
As he always does, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump offered his take on the NFL’s declining television ratings this season, and puts the blame squarely on the shoulders of San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.
Many players around the league and around the country have joined Colin Kaepernick in protesting police brutality and racial inequality by kneeling during the national anthem, and Trump believes this is the sole reason for declining viewers.
“I don’t know if you know, but the NFL is way down in their ratings. Way down,” Trump said via CNN. “And you know why? Two reasons. No. 1 is, this politics they’re finding is a rougher game than football, and more exciting.
“Honestly, we’ve taken a lot of people away from the NFL. And the other reason is Kaepernick. Kaepernick.”

Earlier this year, Trump stated Kaepernick should leave the country and find a better one if this one is so bad.
