The ESPN Countdown Crew Halloween Costumes Were On Point (Video + Pic)
With Halloween falling on a Monday this year, the ESPN Monday Night Countdown crew had an obligation—nay, a duty—to deliver their entertaining football repartee while dressed up in whimsical costumes.
Luckily for us, the viewers, they came through in spades. Standing down on the field before kickoff, the Countdown crew debuted their costumes one by one. Take a look:
For those of you keeping score at home, that was Suzy Kolber as a Chicago bear, Matt Hasselbeck as a different kind of Chicago Bear (Brian Urlacher), Randy Moss as a Minnesota Viking, Trent Dilfer as a purple unicorn, Charles Woodson as a member of Raider Nation, and, finally, Steve Young as the Broncos parachuter who almost landed on the Countdown crew last week in Denver.
✓ No racial stereotypes
✓ No references to the election
Yep, I think they nailed it.
Here’s a nice group shot, courtesy of Moss:

Not included in that photo: postgame host Steve Levy, who dressed up as none other than Mike Ditka:
Well done, everyone.
