After the last game of the 1991 season, Chicago Cubs legendary broadcaster Harry Caray said, “Sure as God made green apples, someday, the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series.”

It took another twenty-five years for them to get there, but the Cubs can finally call themselves World Series champs after they defeated the Cleveland Indians in Game 7.

Clearly thinking about Caray after the game had concluded, Chicago Cubs fans came out in droves to Harry Caray’s grave Thursday, where they left green apples for him.
