Former Warriors Coach Luke Walton on Game 7: ‘How’s That Feel, Cleveland?’
Chicago Cubs Win 2016 World Series In Extra Innings: Twitter Reacts
They certainly didn’t make things easy on themselves.
After blowing a two-run lead in the eighth inning, the Chicago Cubs scored two runs in the top of the 10th to give themselves an 8-6 lead over the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series. And after giving one run back in the bottom-half of the 10th, with the tying run on first, Kris Bryant scooped up a Michael Martinez ground ball and threw it safely to first base to end the madness and give the Cubs their first World Series since 1908.
It’s been a long time coming, but the curse is finally over. Cubs fans can celebrate for the first time in 108 years.
As for Twitter, it’s going nuts. No surprise there:
