Report: Boston Celtics Trying to Trade for Klay Thompson

When Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder this past offseason to sign with the Golden State Warriors, the thought was that Klay Thompson would automatically become a third option on the squad. He didn’t see it that way as he boldly stated he wasn’t sacrificing anything because Durant was on the team.

“I feel kind of disrespected that people keep using the term sacrifice to describe me and describe us,” Thompson told The Vertical. “We all want to see each other do well. But I’m not sacrificing [expletive], because my game isn’t changing. I’m still going to try to get buckets, hit shots, come off screens.

Ten games into the season and Klay is shooting his worst percentage from beyond the arc during his 6-year career, at just 31%.  Now, rumors around the league are stating he might ask for a trade.

There’s one team out there that is willing to take him right now and that is the Boston Celtics, according to former NBA legend Brian Scalabrine.
