Watch Karl-Anthony Towns HUMILIATE Three Different Philadelphia 76ers with Epic Dunk (Video)
The red hot Philadelphia 76ers (winners of two games!) travelled to Minnesota on Thursday to play the Timberwolves. Unfortunately for Sixers, their process was no match for the Timberwolves’ process. Scoring machine Andrew Wiggins, 21, recorded 35 points and 10 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns, also 21, recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds, and one humiliating, superhuman dunk.
The dunk came with about eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Towns got the ball about three feet inside the arc. The other four Timberwolves players then cycled over to the opposite side of the court, leaving 76ers big man Joel Embiid to play one-on-one against Towns. Next thing you know, Towns—a seven-foot 240-pound center—pump fakes his way past Embiid, heads to the hoop, leaps over Dario Saric and Timothe Luwawu, and smashes home a vicious tomahawk dunk.
Take a look:
Again, because I feel this bears repeating, Karl-Anthony Towns is a seven-foot center. When I was a kid, seven-foot centers could barely move. They just stood there underneath the basket and waited for the game to come to them. Now we’ve got guys like Towns playing like a small forward.
This kid is going to have one hell of a career.
