Stephen A. Smith Goes OFF On Colin Kaepernick For His Pro-Fidel Castro Comments (Video)
Back in August, San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick wore the above shirt with Cuba’s longtime dictator Fidel Castro on it, and it drew a bunch of criticism.
He also made some ridiculous comments about why he liked Castro:
“One thing Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here even though we’re fully capable of doing that,” Kaepernick said.
After losing 31-24 to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, he explained to reporters that his words were simply taken out of context:
“I agree with the investment in education. I also agree with the investment in free universal health care as well as the involvement in helping end apartheid in South Africa. I would hope that everybody agrees those things are good things. And trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things that he did is just not true.”
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith was not having any of this nonsense. He took to ‘First Take’ to blast Kaepernick for his comments and his afro.
“Shave your damn afro. Stop acting like your damn militant, you’re ignorant.
