Reporter Quits His Job After Chandler Parsons Calls Him Out on False Injury Report

by: Darrelle Lincoln On  Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Dallas Mavericks v Atlanta Hawks

After signing a 4-year, $94 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies this past offseason, Chandler Parsons’ tenure with the team is off to a rocky start after just 22 games, as he’s played in only 6 of them due to injury.

An NBA reporter at Spanish media outlet Sportando reported on Monday that Parsons was expected to undergo surgery, and possibly miss the rest of the season.

Parsons, who’s been out the past six games, took to Twitter to call that reporter out in a since-deleted story.

Sportando immediately pulled the story, issued an apology, and in a dramatic turn of events, the reporter decided to quit his job over it.

Taking accountability for your mistakes is one thing, but quitting your job over it is way over the top.
