Tampa Radio Host Blasts Doug Martin, Says He Was ‘Hooked on Mollys’
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin violated the NFL’s drug policy this season which resulted in a four-game suspension for using adderall. He subsequently checked himself into a drug treatment facility after being informed of that suspension.
WDAE-AM 620 radio host Steve Duemig has no sympathy for the young running back as he proceeded to blast him for letting the team down, and stated the Buccaneers were aware of his history of abusing drugs before re-signing him last year.
He also accused Martin of being a regular user of the drug ‘Molly,’ as several eyewitnesses have seen it for themselves.
“Before this latest episode Doug Martin was one of the biggest Molly guys you ever saw in your life,” Duemig said. “He was the partier of partier’s and when you own a bar and you have good bartenders that are working in the area, they see everything. It was common knowledge among the bartenders that Doug Martin was a Molly taker. The Bucs knew Doug Martin was a Molly taker and that’s why he had such a (expletive) second year, because he got the money and he went on the Mollys. The Bucs knew I knew, so I’m not afraid to say it. And they never said anything [about my previous on-air] hints because they know I know…. we have eye witnesses to Doug Martin on the Mollys.”
Martin signed a five-year, $35.75 million contract, with $15 million guaranteed, this past offseason.
