Extremely sad and disturbing.

19-year-old Northwestern sophomore, Jordan Hankins, was found dead in her room on campus on Monday. On Tuesday, her death was officially ruled a suicide by hanging.

“Officials have determined the Northwestern women’s basketball player who was found dead on campus this week committed suicide … TMZ Sports has learned.

A rep for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office tells us the evidence shows 19-year-old Jordan Hankins hanged herself in her dorm room.”

Northwestern Wildcats coach Joe McKeown had this to say:

“This is a devastating loss for our basketball family,” Northwestern coach Joe McKeown said. “She brought an unwavering intensity and commitment to everything in her life. We will miss her enormously.”

Northwestern’s game Wednesday at Minnesota has been postponed.
