Tuesday night at the Staples Center, Portland Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard & Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell got into a heated exchange in the third quarter after Lillard got his shot blocked.

After the game, Lillard called out Russell for his dirty antics during the game and stated nothing was going to happen on the court, but they can settle their beef off of it.

“After he blocked my shot, I was walking to my spot and I felt like he went out of his way to get that elbow in there,” Lillard told Bill Oram of the Orange County Register. “I told him that ain’t gonna fly. And I wasn’t interested in anything else that was said after that.”

“We ain’t going to do it on the court,” he said, “so we’ll be in the back and whatever happens happens.”

Following a terrible start to the game, Lillard turned it on after the two came face to face with each other, resulting in a 108-87 blowout victory for the Blazers.

“He poked the bear,” Lillard said, “and you (saw) what happened the rest of the game.”
