Fire Alarm in Steelers Hotel Goes Off at 3AM Before AFC Championship (PICS)
When you’re the visiting team getting set to take on the Patriots in Foxborough, you have to be prepared for anything.
Malfunctioning headsets on the sidelines? That’s an obvious one. Deflated footballs? There’s a good chance of that too.
How about fire alarms going off at the team hotel at 3AM before game day?
That last situation unfolded last night as the Steelers were getting one final snooze before tonight’s AFC Championship game against the Belichick, Brady and the Pats.
According to reports, the alarm was pulled at around 3:40AM at the Boston hotel where the Steelers had been spending the night. According to team officials, the Steelers and players coaches were not evacuated during the incident.
Dennis Harrison, 25, was arrested shortly after by Massachusetts State Police as he tried to flee the scene in a car with two other men. He was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and setting off a false fire alarm.
The Steelers and Patriots are set to face off tonight at 6:40 PM with a place in Super Bowl LI on the line.
