Roger Goodell: “It Would Be an Honor” to Hand Tom Brady the Vince Lombardi Trophy (Audio)

We may have to get our lie detectors out for this one.

While speaking with Colin Cowherd on FS1′s “The Herd” earlier today, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked whether it would be awkward to hand Tom Brady the Vince Lombardi Trophy if the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI a few weeks from now.

Of course, this question is based on all of the animosity that developed between Goodell and Brady throughout the whole DeflateGate debacle, which ended in a 4-game suspension for the Patriots quarterback.

After all of that, you’d have to think it would be at least a somewhat uncomfortable encounter between these two individuals (should it happen), but Goodell doesn’t appear to see it that way.

While speaking with Cowherd, the NFL Commissioner praised Brady’s accomplishments and claimed “it would be an honor” to award him his fifth Super Bowl.
