Cavs To Work Out Hinrich, Chalmers & Stephenson To Get LeBron The ‘Help’ He Needs
The Cleveland Cavaliers are not having a good 2017 so far, as they went 7-8 in January and are losers of 7 of their last 11 games.
A few weeks ago, Cavs superstar LeBron James took to the media to question the state of the roster. While doing so, he sent a message to the organization that he needs ‘help’ in the tune of a back-up PG.
Following a loss to the lowly Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, the Cavs are scheduled to work out Kirk Hinrich, Mario Chalmers, and Lance Stephenson on Wednesday, sources told ESPN’s Chris Haynes.
“Veteran point guards Mario Chalmers and Kirk Hinrich, along with wing Lance Stephenson are scheduled to work out for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday in hopes of inking a deal.
There are a few other free agent prospects that are expected to attend the session as well, sources say. Depending on how well the participants perform, sources with knowledge of the Cavaliers’ thinking believe one of them could be signed prior to the All-Star break.”
Chalmers confirmed the news via Twitter:
On the way to Cleveland. Lets get it.
