Tom Brady Gets Choked Up Talking About His Dad at Super Bowl 51 Media Day (Videos)
Tom Brady‘s dad kicked the deflategate hornets nest over the weekend. With his son preparing to play in his record seventh Super Bowl, Tom Brady Sr. gave an interview to San Francisco’s KRON 4. In it he called the ball-deflating scandal a “witch hunt” and said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell‘s treatment of his son was “beyond reprehensible.”
This was not the first time Brady Sr. had spoken openly about his feelings toward Roger Goodell. But these comments got a lot of extra attention because of their timing.
On Monday Tom Brady was asked about his dad’s comments at Super Bowl 51 “Opening Night” at Houston’s Minute Maid Park. Specifically, he was asked whether his dad speaks for him.
Brady’s answer was surprisingly emotional:
