Longtime Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith Sr. hung up his cleats for the final time when he retired following the team’s final game of the year. Smith has always been one of those guys in the league that never holds his tongue, and everyone knew it was just a matter of time before one of the many sports show would throw cash his way to get them on their set.

On Thursday, he confirmed that he would indeed be taking his talents to the NFL Network as an analyst on a multi-year deal.

“I was blessed to have a long and productive playing career on the field but now it’s time to turn my attention to the business of covering the game and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the team at NFL Network,” Smith said in a press release.

Smith finished his 16-year career with 1,031 total catches for 14,731 yards and 81 touchdowns.
