Just a few days ago, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Lebron James stated he was done biting his tongue against people criticizing him, most notably TNT’s Charles Barkley.  So he let loose on Sir Charles.

“I’m not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that,” James told ESPN. “I’m not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, ‘I’m not a role model.’ I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying.”

“All I’ve done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that.”

“Go watch the ’93 Finals when John Paxson hit the shot,” James said. “Barkley and Jordan were laughing and joking with each other during one of the games while somebody’s shooting a free throw. In the Finals. But, oh, nobody were friends back then.”

“I know he wanted to retire a long time ago, but he can’t,” James said. “He’s stuck up on that stage every week … and if this makes him want to talk to me, the schedule’s out there. He knows every road arena I’ll be in. Don’t just come up to me at All-Star and shake my hand and smile.”

“I’m tired of biting my tongue,” he said. “There’s a new sheriff in town.”

On Thursday, Barkley got his chance to respond to LeBron, but Shaq wanted some of that action as well and the two got into a heated back and forth, leading to Shaq stating he would punch Charles if he had said the same things to him that he had said about LeBron.

First, Barkley’s response to LeBron:

“I have no problem with what LeBron said,” Barkley said. “Everything’s not true. Most of that is true, I did some stupid things in my life. That being said, I’ve been doing this job for 15, 16 years. I have never said anything personal about a guy and I’m never going to, ever.

“All my criticism of any player or comments on any team are strictly about basketball,” Barkley continued. Barkley also explained that if he was the best player in the world (like LeBron is) and was surrounded by players the caliber of Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, and Tristan Thompson, “I’d take my chances against anybody.”

Then Shaq gave his input, followed by a heated exchange:
