Aaron Rodgers Agrees That Tom Brady is The GOAT QB
Just a few weeks ago, former legendary San Francisco 49ers QB Joe Montana refused to call New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady the GOAT QB after winning his record 5th ring against the Atlanta Falcons.
“I think that it’s really hard to put anyone in that bucket,” Montana said in an appearance on the Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family,” via TMZ. “Even before he got five – you look back to some of the guys some people don’t even know, Sammy Baugh or Otto Graham, I can’t remember which one, but one of them won like seven or nine championships and so far ahead of their time. It’s so hard to compare guys from then to now, how they would compare here and how we would compare back then.”
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, who was one win away from facing Brady and the Patriots in the big game, didn’t hesitate to say who was the GOAT QB, and Brady didn’t even need to win Super Bowl 51 for him to earn that spot on ARod’s list.
“Fantastic Super Bowl. I felt bad for Matt. Getting to know him over the years, he is a fantastic guy; he had an incredible MVP season and sitting there 28-3 I think everybody watching and probably at the game was thinking ‘Atlanta’s gonna get their ring sized up here pretty soon.’ So that was disappointing.”
“From a fan’s perspective, what a great game to watch and to see Tom and his greatness on display one more time. I mean, he didn’t need to win that to prove that he’s the G.O.A.T., but just another part of his legacy there.”
