Jim Harbaugh Says He Deserves Medal For Spending Four Years Under 49ers Trash Management
The San Francisco 49ers have been absolute dumpster juice since the departure of Jim Harbaugh a few seasons ago. During his time there, he was very critical of management, but somehow still succeeded despite it.
After a 44-19-1 record (the fourth best start to any coaching career in NFL history), a Super Bowl appearance, and three playoff appearances in four seasons, he was fired. Still, Harbaugh truly believes he deserves some type of medal after dealing with the dysfunction in the Niners’ front office.
Harbaugh appeared on Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami’s podcast Thursday and had this to say:
“I think we did set a record for coaching there the longest under the present ownership. I take pride in that. Maybe there should be an endurance medal, a courage medal, for that.”
The 49ers have gone 7-25 over the last two seasons. Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly only lasted one season each before getting fired by 49ers CEO Jed York.
