Colts Lineman David Parry Arrested For Drunkenly Stealing A Golf Cart And Crashing It Into A Gate
Indianapolis Colts nose tackle David Parry was arrested in Arizona on Monday after stealing a golf cart and driving it under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Scottsdale Police, Parry and two other individuals took a golf cart taxi (which apparently is a thing) home from a downtown bar. After dropping off the first two people, the driver dropped off Parry and asked for payment. However, Parry refused. Instead he hit the driver over the head and took off in the golf cart, promptly crashing it into a gate.
Soon police showed up and, because the golf cart was being driven on the street and not a country club, they arrested Parry. He has since been charged with driving under the influence, robbery, auto theft, criminal damage, and resisting arrest. So it sounds like the cops thought he was being a huge douche.
Legally, Parry will probalby come out of this just fine. Because he’s a rich white guy, he’ll probably plead guilty to a few of those charges and enter into a diversion program in exchange for probation and other charges being dropped.
However, the Colts and the NFL will surely take a look at this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they hand Parry a fine and a short one or two-game suspension.
