WWE Signs Canadian Olympic Weightlifter Isabel Lahela (PICS + VIDS)
Canadian Olympic weightlifter Isabel Lahela, 22, participated in a try-out with the WWE back in September and her efforts must have impressed them because she is being signed on to their women’s division.
Some of her accomplishments include graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in architecture and winning the Junior Ontario Championship in 2014. Along with being a weightlifter she is also a professional model, personal trainer, and was a professionally trained dancer for fifteen years growing up in Canada.
She has been training at Superkick’d Wrestling in Toronto, Canada since August under the guidance of professional wrestlers Ashley Sixx and Kris Chambers.

“You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.” ————— Don’t. Give. Up! Often times when people give up they are actually the closest to achieving their goal. If you aren’t seeing results with your fitness or diet in the first month, that is normal. If it took you say, 20 years to build the body you have now, then 1 month isn’t going to completely change you. Stay consistent. Stay motivated. Being fit doesn’t necessarily mean looking a certain way. It doesn’t mean having a ton a muscle or very low body fat. Being fit is being healthy on the inside, being strong mentally and physically, being able to perform feats of physical and mentally capacity that are not “normal” but “optimal.” Screw normal. Screw beauty standards. Do what makes you happy. Sports and fitness make me feel happy, healthy, and feel that I am optimizing my body for whatever life throws at me. What makes you happy? #SlimThickWorkout #BodyPositivity #LoveYourself isabellahela.com/slimthick-workout ————— Photo: @mattbarnesphoto Hair: @samshairband Makeup: @gkamazani Styling: @marcandrewsmith A post shared by I S A B E L ☼ L A H E L A (@isabel.lahela) on

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” ————– If it was easy then everyone would do it. Fitness is a process. Getting your dream physique takes time and effort and in reality it will not happen if you don’t embrace the journey. The things you learn about yourself and the way training affects your mind is incomparable. Learn to love the process and put in the work. When you achieve whatever your goal is you will still continue to want more, so never stop pushing yourself through boundaries and proving yourself wrong. #SlimThickWorkout
#exerciseoftheday I struggle the most in the very bottom of my squat. By training different variations of movements, you can recruit different stimuli and break through plateaus in your lifts. Here I am fully releasing tension at the bottom of my squat by letting the weight slightly rest on the pins of the rack. This forces me to use even more power from a dead stop to drive right out of the bottom, the area I struggle with the most. It also helps me recruit more of my posterior chain since I am not squatting very far below parallel. If you struggle with this area of the squat then give it a try with a nice light weight! #mondaymotivation #SlimThickWorkout A post shared by I S A B E L ☼ L A H E L A (@isabel.lahela) on
