Kevin Durant Hyperextends Knee, Limps Off Court, Undergoes MRI (Videos)
Golden State Warriors fans are holding their breath as they await the results of Kevin Durant‘s MRI after he suffered a left knee injury during Tuesday night’s loss to the Washington Warriors. The results of the MRI are expected to be released on Wednesday.
Durant suffered the injury in the first quarter of the game, when Zaza Pachulia fell to the ground and rolled up on the all-star’s knee after being fouled by Marcin Gortat.
KD limped off the court and did not return. For now, the team is calling it a “hyperextension.” Here’s a look at the play:

This was Durant’s first game in his hometown of Washington since he chose to join the Warriors over the Wizards (among other teams) during free agency last summer. Oddly enough, the last time he played in the nation’s capitol (as a member of the Thunder), Durant suffered a hamstring injury that sidelined him for six games.
