LeBron Nearly TRUCKED Bill Belichick in The 1st Row During Game vs. Celtics (Video)
In many parts of the country, Patriots coach Bill Belichick is the most hated man in sports. In New England he’s perhaps the most beloved—or at least number two behind Tom Brady. So fans were thrilled when he turned up at TD Gardens for the Celtics showdown against LeBron and the defending champion Cavaliers on Wednesday. Sitting courtside with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday, Belichick got a rousing ovation every time they put him up on the jumbotron.

Of course, in hindsight the Celtics probably should have put Belichick in a safer location closer to their bench rather than underneath the basket. Midway through the fourth quarter the New England treasure almost got flattened by LeBron James, who lost his footing and went barrelling into the front row after attempting a put-back dunk.
Look closely at the 0:23 mark of the video and you can see terror in Belichick’s eyes right before LeBron puts on the breaks:

After the game, which the Celtics won 103-99, Belichick paid a visit to the Cavs locker room and had a chat with LeBron.

LeBron later told reporters that he did realize he was heading right for Belichick as the play unfolded.
“That’s why I slowed up,” LeBron explained. “I definitely slowed up because I knew it was him. I’m not taking no legend out. I’m not doing that. I need to keep seeing him win. That’s pretty cool for me.”
Of course, most football fans would have been okay with LeBron taking Belichick out.
