Knicks’ Derrick Rose on Embracing The Triangle Offense: ‘Sh-t, Do I Have A Choice?’
The New York Knicks are a putrid 25-36 on the season, 12th in the Eastern Conference, and are bad at just about everything they do on the court.
The Knicks are 25th in defensive efficiency and 25th in defense in the NBA. Just a few days ago, head coach Jeff Hornacek stated they were bringing the Triangle Offense back and said management will use remaining months to determine which players fit the system and which don’t.
That wasn’t good news for star point guard Derrick Rose, who opened up about his inner conflict with the triangle offense on Thursday.
“S–t, do I have a choice? Do I have a choice?” Rose said when asked if he’s warming up to the triangle. “I just want to win games. Winning takes care of every category for an athlete.”
So much confidence. Whether he or the Knicks like the offense or not, they better get real acquainted with it fast because 5 of their next 6 games will be on the road.
