REPORT: Patriots & WR Brandon Marshall Have Mutual Interest In A Deal
After a terrible 2016 campaign, the New York Jets decided to part ways with wide receiver Brandon Marshall, allowing him to become a free agent.
It didn’t take long for a team to have interest in the veteran and it’s a familiar one that’s coming off a Super Bowl victory. According to a report from the Boston Globe, there’s “mutual interest” between the New England Patriots and Marshall.
And two, don’t rule out Brandon Marshall coming to New England. There’s some mutual interest there

The Patriots have become known for getting the most out of veteran players before their career winds down, and hooking up with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady could give Marshall the best chance of tasting what playoff football feels like for the 1st time in his career and possibly a Super Bowl.
“It’s not about the money,” Marshall said as the Jets cleaned out their lockers in December. “I’m good. I just want to win. That’s all I want to do is win.”
Last year saw horrible numbers for Marshall across the board. but his best numbers came just one year prior. Marshall started all 16 games in that 2015 season, racking up 109 receptions for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns.
