REPORT: Saints Reject Patriots’ Offer of a 1st Round Pick For Brandin Cooks
It appears as though the New England Patriots are in the market for a wide receiver, and the latest one to be linked to the defending Super Bowl champs is New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
According to reports, the Saints recently rejected a trade offer from the Pats, which included New England’s first-round pick (32nd overall) for Cooks. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has also pointed out that the Patriots were asking for a pick in return from the Saints.
No. 32, yes, but would involve a swap of picks. Not a true first rounder (yet) https://t.co/8NsQ4j4wAm

In his first three seasons in the league, the 23-year-old wideout has 215 receptions for 2,861 yards and 20 touchdowns. In 2016, he recorded 78 catches for 1,173 yards and 8 touchdowns.
He’s heading into the final year of a four-year contract he signed as a rookie after being drafted by the Saints with the 20th overall pick in 2014.
