Dunk City! Florida Gulf Coast’s Rayjon Tucker Takes Out Shot Clock with Monster Dunk (Video)
Good news, college basketball fans! Dunk City is back.
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, who earned the “Dunk City” nickname with an incredible Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 back in 2013, punched their ticket to the Big Dance on Sunday with a win over North Florida in the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament finals. And they didn’t just eke out a win, either. They looked damn good doing it.
Just look at this ridiculous dunk. About eight minutes into the second half, with FGCU up by five, 6’5″ freshman guard Rayjon Tucker got the ball at the top of the key, moved around a screen and, with the North Florida center standing between him and the basket, threw down the nastiest, most vicious dunk of the 2016-17 college basketball season.
How nasty are we talking about? Well, the dunk shook the stanchion so hard that it broke the shot clock. So pretty nasty.

And just like that, Rayjon Tucker is now on the draft boards of pretty much every franchise in the NBA. Maybe not for 2017, but definitely for 2018.
It’s going to be crazy fun watching him and the rest of the FGCU Eagles in the NCAA Tournament.
