Report: DeSean Jackson Not Expected To Return To Redskins; Pats, Cowboys Interested
After three seasons in Washington, it seems as if the DeSean Jackson era is over and there are many teams interested in his services. The impending free-agent receiver is not expected to reach a new contract with the Washington Redskins, sources told Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were reported as willing to throw a huge amount of money his way to have him on their squad, but the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys are also interested in acquiring Jackson, adds Tesfatsion.
Jackson boldly stated in December he was interested in hitting the free agent market, and just last month he said it would be a ‘great story’ if he re-joined the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 30-year-old WR averaged 17.9 yards per catch in 2016, racking up 1,005 yards on 56 catches with four touchdowns.
