Brooklyn Nets To Host ‘Biggie Night’ When Knicks Visit Sunday
Being 11-51 on the season and in 15th place in the Eastern Conference, you would imagine it is a tough task to get fans into the Barclays Center.
The Brooklyn Nets have to get real creative for fans to want to waste their money watching a terrible product lose consistently night after night. And they’ve done just that.
Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks will be celebrated as “Biggie Night,” in honor of the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ passing.
Along with several members of Biggie’s close family and friends, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs and Biggie’s mother will also be in attendance to pay tribute to the legendary rapper during halftime.
“Biggie’s music played a major role in positioning Brooklyn at the forefront of the music industry, and on Sunday we will celebrate his enduring legacy,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “There is no better place to honor him than at Barclays Center, Brooklyn’s biggest stage and the home of hip-hop.”
Some of Biggie’s classic hit songs will be played throughout the night as well.
