Ty Lawson Has Tested Positive For Alcohol Three Times Since September
More details have emerged on Sacramento Kings PG Ty Lawson. It was reported on Tuesday that officials in Denver believe the Sacramento Kings star violated his probation, stemming from his 2015 drunk driving case. As a result, they were gunning for a warrant for his immediate arrest.
It got that much worse on Wednesday as a new report states Lawson tested positive for alcohol on three separate occasions, twice last year, and once this year.
“Ty Lawson broke the terms of his probation by testing positive for alcohol THREE TIMES over the past 7 months … this according to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports.
As we previously reported, the Sacramento Kings star is on probation stemming from his 2015 drunk driving case in Denver … and part of the terms required Lawson to stay completely sober and submit to alcohol testing.
But officials say Lawson tested positive for booze on 9/27, 9/29 and 2/7.”
During media day on Sept. 26, Lawson told the media he vowed to move forward from his past issues. He tested positive for alcohol the very next day. Now officials in Denver want the judge to revoke his probation and subject him to harsher penalties, which could include jail time.
