BREAKING: Chicago Bears Release QB Jay Cutler
After this past season, the writing was already on the wall that QB Jay Cutler’s time with the Chicago Bears was over. On Thursday, the Bears signed perennial back-up QB Mike Glennon to a three-year, $45 million contract, making it all but inevitable that Cutler was gone.
Just a few hours later, the Bears made it official and released Cutler, upon his request.
Bears are releasing QB Jay Cutler, per sources. Cutler asked for and was granted his release this morning. Now a free agent.
