Baseball Fan Makes Epic Run Across Tops of Seats to Snag Foul Ball 20 Rows Away (Video)
Not too many people showed up at Charros de Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara for Monday night’s game between Italy and Venezuela at the World Baseball Classic. However, the fans who did show were hardcore.
In the top of the sixth, Venezuela catcher Robinson Chirinos fouled a pitch from Italy pitcher Trey Nielsen into a section of seats down the right field line where nobody was sitting. This resulted in an epic race for a World Baseball Classic souvenir.
As the camera tracks the ball, you see two fans start to go after it. One of them runs up the aisle, like a regular person. The other makes a mad dash across the tops of about 20 rows of seats like some ancient kung fu master straight out of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

That was easily the greatest foul ball scramble I’ve ever seen. I sure as hell hope somebody bought that guy a beer afterward, because he’s my new hero.
As for the actual game, turns out that was pretty good too. Venezuela rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the top of the ninth to beat Italy 4-3.
