If you thought Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor were close to a deal just because T-Mobile Arena has a date blocked off, think again.

According to UFC president Dana White, a deal for the superfight is “nowhere near being done,” and the reports about a target date of June 10 are false.

So where does this leave things? Good question! I don’t know! This story is like a never-ending roller coaster. First it’s happening, then it’s not happening. Then it’s happening again. Then it’s not.

Seriously, just look at this list of headlines from the past six months:

Holy hell.

All along I’ve been saying there was no way this fight would ever happen. But now I’m not so sure. Somewhere along the way I think I might have started believing the hype.

What do you think? Is this thing going to happen or not?
