Sports Writer Says NCAA Made Him Delete Video of Wichita State Coach’s Wife Acting Like a Lunatic (Video)
Yesterday we told you about the amusing albeit somewhat unusual antics of Lynn Marshall, wife of Wichita State basketball coach Gregg Marshall. Today we have another story to tell about her behavior at the second round NCAA Tournament game between Wichita State and Kentucky. Apparently the NCAA threatened to revoke a sports writer’s media credential if he didn’t stop tweeting about her!
The writer in question is Drew Franklin of Kentucky Sports Radio. Here’s his account of what happened:
Someone from the NCAA came and got my name and told me I could no longer tweet about her because “it made her upset.” I guess it didn’t make anyone else upset when she told Malik Monk to get in the weight room or told Isaiah Briscoe to buy some bigger shorts or told Calipari to “shut the f-ck up” or told Roger Ayers he is garbage or any of the other classy things she yelled between F-bombs.
Franklin had tweeted a video of Marshall being very animated. It did not contain any of her alleged cursing or insults. However, Franklin says the NCAA later made him delete it.
NCAA guys stood over me and made me delete the tweet. I’m sure they’re reading this. I plan to tweet it again as soon as I leave here.

Franklin later posted the video again, just out of principle. Here it is:
That is extremely tame. Considering all the other things that were said about Lynn Marshall’s behavior…

…it’s hard to understand why the NCAA gave Drew Franklin such a hard time about it.
