It’s been over a year since 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel was released by the Cleveland Browns and he hasn’t touched the field since. Fast forward to March of this year and Johnny Football has apparently turned over a new leaf as he tries to get his career back on track.

The New Orleans Saints are in the market for a back-up QB and head coach Sean Payton has reportedly been in discussions with Manziel, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

It was not a good year for Manziel in 2016, as he was investigated for a domestic violence claim made by his girlfriend, Drew Rosenhaus (Manziel’s second agent) fired him, and Nike dropped him as a client.

Everything seems to have changed in 2017, however, as he got engaged to his girlfriend and re-hired Drew Rosenhaus.  He’s finally started to make the necessary changes in his life, and he appears ready to focus on football once again.
