Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin Arrested After His Car Crashed Into a Bar
Trevone Boykin is in trouble with the law once again.
The Seahawks’ backup quarterback’s latest arrest is the result of a car crash at a bar in Dallas. Boykin wasn’t driving the car that crashed into Sidebar Bar in Uptown Dallas at around 2 a.m. on Monday morning, injuring five people. Rather, the former TCU standout was a passenger in the car, but he was still arrested for public intoxication and drug possession charges after he was found with more than two ounces of marijuana.
Here’s a breakdown of what happened, via Fox4:
“Boykin was a passenger in the car that hit Sidebar Bar around 2 a.m. Monday. Police suspect the woman in the driver’s seat, 26-year-old Shabrika Baley, was drunk when she pulled out of a parking garage and suddenly backed into the front of the building.
“Four people on the crowded sidewalk were hit by the car and a bartender inside the club was injured as the car pushed through the front wall. Three of them were taken to the hospital with injuries like a broken ankle and a dislocated arm. None have life-threatening injuries.”
This is Boykin’s second arrest in less than two years. On December 31, 2015, he was arrested for assaulting a public servant, public intoxication and resisting arrest after punching an officer during a fight at a San Antonio bar.
