Russell Westbrook Makes Mark Cuban Eat His Words with 14-0 Run to Complete Epic Comeback Vs. Mavs (Video)
On Monday night in Dallas, Russell Westbrook shoved all those hot takes down the loudmouth billionaire’s throat.
Trailing the Mavericks by 13 points with just four minutes to play, the Thunder went on a 14-0 run to end the game. Russell Westbrook scored 12 of those 14 points, which included the game-winning jumper from 17 feet out with seven seconds left on the clock.
Westbrook finished the game with 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. It was his third straight triple-double and his 37th of the season. He now needs just four more triple-doubles over his last nine games to tie Oscar Robertson‘s record for triple-doubles in a single season. He also leads the NBA in points, is third in assists, and 11th in rebounds. But again, according to Mark Cuban, he’s not even in the discussion for Most Valuable Player.
After the game Westbrook was asked if he was thinking about Mark Cuban’s ridiculous comments as he drained the shot that completed OKC’s comeback.
“Nah, man. I play every night the same way. Whatever he says doesn’t even matter to me.”
If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
