Last night, the Golden State Warriors handled the Houston Rockets for the second time in less than a week, but the talk after the game had nothing to do with basketball.

Cameras caught Draymond Green punching the sore left wrist of James Harden during a play, an incident that’s been universally decried as “dirty.” Green said after the game he had a very valid reason for doing what he did.

“He pinched me, so I punched his wrist,” Green said after the Warriors’ 107-98 win over the Rockets, according to ESPN’s Calvin Watkins. “That’s pretty much it. He does it often actually, which is kind of adolescent, but whatever.”

Green was whistled for a foul on the play and promptly sent to the bench.
