Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin Arrested For 2nd Time in 2 Weeks
Trevone Boykin is familiar with having handcuffs on.
The Seattle Seahawks QB was arrested January 2016 after a bar fight during which he got into it with cops while he was still at TCU. And this past March, he was arrested after he crashed his car into a bar, then received drug possession charges after he was caught with more than two ounces of marijuana.
He newest arrest came on Thursday while he was in Walmart and it’s connected to that crash he had at the bar less than two weeks ago.
“As we previously reported, Boykin was still on probation on March 27 when he was arrested for public intoxication and drug possession following the car crash.
Background — Boykin was sentenced to 1 year probation in June 2016 for fighting police officers at a San Antonio bar days before the Alamo Bowl.
Now, we’ve learned a warrant was issued for his arrest earlier this week because prosecutors believe his March arrest constitutes a violation of his probation.
Boykin was taken into custody at 1:35 PM on Thursday and released a few hours later on $2,500 bond. He’ll be arraigned on May 3.
He’s facing up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine — but that didn’t keep him from smiling in his mug shot.”
Keep this up and he’ll find himself out of the league for good.
