Martha Stewart Jinxed Yankees’ Perfect Game on Twitter, and Fans Were NOT Happy (Tweets)
Baseball’s full of unspoken rules, most of which are arbitrary nonsense. But the one about not talking about a no-hitter while it’s in progress sorta makes sense. It just adds an unnecessary layer of pressure to the pitcher and team.
And while it shouldn’t need to be explained, someone should go ahead and tell Martha Stewart that the code of silence applies to Twitter, too.
The Yankees Michael Pineda had a perfect game going in the 7th, and Martha thought that was pretty cool, so she shared the state of affairs on Twitter.

I’m not sure Martha’s really at fault here, but I’m enjoying these responses, nonetheless. Let the people speak their piece!
Even the Rays had some fun with the tweet, despite the Yankees winning 8-1 in their home opener.
