UFC 207 Nunes v Rousey

It was at UFC 193 where the sports world found out that Ronda Rousey had a chink in her armor when Holly Holm not only dominated her, but knocked her out cold.

It would take a year for Rousey to get back in the Octagon and it lasted all of 48 seconds at UFC 207, when Amanda Nunes knocked her out by delivering a barrage of punches to her face and head.

The chances of Ronda Rousey ever entering the Octagon again is now that much slimmer. According to UFC president Dana White, Rousey hasn’t spoke one word about a potential comeback to the octagon.

“Ronda and I talk maybe once a week, once every two weeks,” White said, according to MMA Fighting. “She has not said anything to me about a comeback.

“And If I had to guess, I would guess that she will not come back.”

If she never fights again, she leaves a lasting legacy in the sport. Rousey won 12 consecutive fights via stoppage (11 in the first round), captured the Strikeforce bantamweight title, and defended her UFC title six times—a figure which remains the record for the UFC women’s divisions.
