Report: HELL YES the Leaked White Board Photo Had Something to Do with Magic Firing GM Rob Hennigan
The Orland Magic fired general manager Rob Hennigan on Thursday, and if you suspect the decision may have had something to do with the leaked white board photo, pat yourself on the back, Sherlock, because you’re absolutely correct.
As you may recall, a few weeks ago a photo leaked online of free agent rookie Patricio Garino signing a contract with the Magic. And in the background of that photo was a white board with long lists of players whom the Magic apparently hope to acquire this offseason via trade or free agency.
Though it is unclear how the photo leaked online, it is believed that Hennigan himself took the photo. Which, you know, was pretty freaking stupid. That photo should not exist. Nobody outside the GM and the coaching staff should have seen that white board.
Of course, the Magic had plenty of other reasons to fire Hennigan, from that terrible Serge Ibaka trade, to terrible draft picks, to the simple fact that the Magic finished in 13th place with a record of 29-53. But according to Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher, the white board incident was the final straw.
Sources: Ex-Magic GM Rob Hennigan took the photo of Patricio Garino signing w/whiteboard of FA info in background. Might’ve been last straw.

And yeah, that sounds about right.
